I have thought about adjusting the Z offset of the probe in marlin by 2mm. But this doesn't seem like the right thing to do. (nozzle is touching standard paper 0.1mm) on z axis. I've the following value defined: #define Z_PROBE_DEPLOY_HEIGHT 15 #define Z_PROBE_TRAVEL_HEIGHT 15 //#define Z_HOMING_HEIGHT 4 //(commented) Even with Z_HOMING I have a printer with a v3.1 BLTouch and a BTT SKR mini E3 V3 and I can't get the BLTouch to work as a probe while homing. I have tried both of the images provided here and both cause the BLTouch to deploy properly but when I autohome and it gets to Z the BLtouch deploys (turns white) but the z axis doesn't move.. I found this thread which provides an image that does work but not much about CR-10 V3 wont auto home correctly on x-axis HELP. itll tell you the state of all your endstops. press down the x endstop and type it again. if it doesnt change, your endstop is broken. by the way its behaving, it looks like it is either stuck in TRIGGERED state, or you have it miswired so it is TRIGGERED when OPEN. When the X & Y Homing complete, the print head goes to the middle of the bed, about 10 -20 mm off the bed, then the CR-Touch repeatedly deploys and retracts the pin, the Z-axis does not move otherwise. I will mention that if I install the 3.0 Marlin firmware without the Z-homing, it will work to z-home using the z-stop, but not the CR-Touch probe. Creality 32 Bit In CNC and similar, you usually have work holding, parts, etc in the way and homing first will probably crash the tool or holder. Since it's easy to see where the tool head and bed are on a 3D printer and easy to move by hand, enabling only Jogging at only the screen/terminal by 1mm-5mm increments wouldn't cause much issue.
